Tom Avery (they/them) is an actor/singer based in LA, with a passion for uncovering uncomfortable truths of being alive. Musically, I am Inspired by great songwriters like Carole King, Sam Smith and contemporary artists like The 1975, Remi Wolf, and Harry Styles, As an actor, I am fascinated by limited series drams (The Queens Gambit, Ozark, and Beef are some of my all time favorites) and the imaginative world building of cinema.

Born and raised outside of Seattle, WA, Tom has been singing since they were little and started performing in Musical Theatre around 8 years old, while secretly writing songs in the corner of their room. They trained in vocal jazz in high school and began dancing around the same time, all the while falling for their favorite pop divas along the way.

This Winter, Tom played Hedwig in Hedwig and the Angry Inch at The Chance Theatre and received the 2024 Scenies Awards for Best Performance in a Musical and Breakout Performance of the Year. More recently, Tom played Crutchie in Musical Theatre West’s production of Newsies.
